Since their debut in September 2023, A.F.R.O.B.A.M. has been generating quite a buzz! With a versatile lead singer and extremely talented backline, A.F.R.O.B.A.M. delivers powerful and soulful performances, while creating and engaging an exhilarating experience. Exploring both covers and originals, this "polyjamorous" band boasts their exceptional skills on stage and guarantees an unforgettable performance that will keep people entertained and craving more.

DC native and singer-songwriter, Zaneta, better known as “Z” has encompassed the different musical sounds of the city. From being influenced by Hip-Hop, Soul, Gospel, Rock, West African, Funk and of course the music of DC, Go-Go, Z has an alternative sound that can span across different genres. With her vast musical capacity, thirst for the energy of live music and years of band experience, she decided to test her limits and create A.F.R.O.B.A.M.

Bishop “Mr. B” Young has been a connoisseur of music for decades. While he is versed in different instruments, Mr. B’s passion for the guitar took lead, making him one of the most sought-after guitarists in the DMV area. When Mr. B is not recording in his studio or performing with A.F.R.O.B.A.M., you can find him lighting up the stage with Soulful Soundz, Next Hour Band, Love Nation and many more bands throughout the DMV.

Anthony “Taylor-Made Drummer” Taylor is known for his concert-style drumming. This Virginia native loves creating a positive energy by keeping the beat and providing an atmosphere that causes dancing. His love of music makes him love playing all genres and keeps him exploring new methods of drumming. When Taylor-Made is not playing in church or with A.F.R.O.B.A.M., he can be seen with bands like O.T.G., and Nu-30X.

Edward Baskerville has been playing the bass guitar since the age of 14. If he isn’t keeping the baseline, then something is missing from life. While he plays all genres of music, his favorite artists to play are Louis Johnson from The Brother Johnson. When he is not rockin' out with A.F.R.O.B.A.M., Eddie can be seen with bands such as Hit or Mix, Nu30x, Wizards of Oz, Shadow Project, Shades of Mind and many more.

Jonatan Palacios is a producer and musician with years of experiences. As a traveling keyboardist, Jonnp3 has performed for multiple festivals, concerts and has accompanied many well-known bands, singers and DJs. The creative process of bringing songs and musical ideas to life is what brings Jonn to the stage. If not performing with A.F.R.O.B.A.M., you can find Jonn on stage throughout the DMV with Faycez-U-Know.

Drew Keys is a Wammie nominated musician and producer in the Washington DC area. Other than A.F.R.O.B.A.M., Drew can be found performing locally with many bands and artists to include UCB, TCB, Wale, Ari Lennox, Noochie, Alex Vaughn etc. He specializes in Go-go music and has become an influencer of DMV Go-go culture. His most notable industry collaboration was behind the production of Kodak Black’s song Gleerious.
Karlos Dent Sr.

Born and raised in the DMV, Karlos (Los) grew up with a passion for music, playing genres such as Go-Go, Jazz, Funk and HipHop. This traveling musician has produced for many local artists, including his daughter "Sye Sye" (2nd Grade), Rasta Tahj (Road Rage - Go-Go remix) and Big Choowy Tha Don & Weensey of B.Y.B. (YGMFU). While not performing with A.F.R.O.B.A.M., you can catch Los on stage with Go-Go band Changing Phaces and R&B group Melody Transit.

Ralph Burrows is an experienced trumpet player based in the Washington, D.C. area and is versed in many styles including Jazz, Disco, Reggae, Funk, Classical and many more. Although self-taught, Ralph continues to enhance his musical knowledge by training with master trumpet players. When he is not performing with A.F.R.O.B.A.M. or providing lessons at Middle C Music or Music & Arts, he can be seen on stage with Time in the Wilderness, 24Karat Band, and a host of other bands.

Erica WJT is truly a singer who will sing anything anywhere. She is a "non-traditional church girly" who has used those lessons learned in church musicianship to master her musical artistry. From an early age she has seen how music can lift and change the atmosphere. "From gospel to blues to R&B to jazz the right note in the right key will last far beyond the moment!"

Emmanuel “Mann” Wright is a DMV native who started his musical career with the DC Youth Orchestra. This multi-instrumentalist also has a career in music production and while he continues to perform with artists throughout the area. You can find Mann keeping the beat with many local bands across the DMV.
